Emma

Understand yourself.
Connect more deeply with the people who matter.

Emma is an emotional intelligence agent from Big Self School. She helps you see what is driving your reactions — and bring more awareness, choice and care into the relationships you already have.

Ask about Emma
№ 01A moment where she helps

The message you keep rewriting.

An illustration — not a customer story

You have drafted the same reply four times. It is still not right, and you cannot say why.

Emma reads it with you. She starts with what is happening in you — the sting of feeling dismissed, the pull to prove the point. Then she asks what you are assuming about the other person, and whether you actually know it. Then, last, the words.

You send something clearer. Not softer. Clearer.

№ 02Why Emma is different

Not just help getting things done.

Emma runs on the same kind of AI models as the assistants you already use, and those can be genuinely helpful. What differs is everything built around them.

01

What is underneath the behavior

Emma’s method comes from the Enneagram subtype tradition of Claudio Naranjo — twenty-seven patterns, not nine — and from Shelley’s coaching. It asks what a behavior is for: what it protects, what it reaches for. Your type is a hypothesis to explore, never a diagnosis and never a box. Emma will say when she may be reading you wrong, and she means for you to push back.

02

Continuity, not a blank page

Emma holds an evolving understanding of you — what motivates you, what is going on in your life, what you have reflected on. A conversation in March can build on something you noticed in January, within what you choose to share.

03

Built for relationships

Most AI helps you finish things. Emma helps you work out what matters — and how you are showing up with other people. She works alongside a human coach, not in place of one.

№ 03Who she is for, and where she is going

Today, and the direction ahead.

Working today

Emma is a working web product today, used with Shelley’s coaching clients and with teams. People take an assessment, have a real conversation with Emma, receive a personal Book of You, and keep talking with her in between — reflecting, preparing, working out what to say.

Being developed

A simpler experience. An easier way to reach Emma while you are writing a message or working outside the app. A more polished desktop. Optional voice conversations. Early work on calendar, email and a desktop prototype is underway. Slack and Microsoft Teams are directions we intend, not connections you can use yet.

Where this goes

One Emma who travels with you — through your own development, into the team you work with, and in time into the family relationships you choose. Coaches will be able to bring Emma into their own practices, under their own branding and materials, keeping her name and her approach. Big Self School remains Shelley’s school.

№ 04Trust, and what to do next

What we are building toward.

A principle we are building to, and still verifying: paying for Emma, inviting someone, or leading their team should not hand you their private conversations with her. Sharing should be deliberate, and understandable to the person sharing. That work is under review and repair now, and we would rather say so than promise more than we have confirmed.

Emma is not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a replacement for the people in your life or for professional care. She is a mirror you can talk to.

Emma is built by Dr. Shelley Prevost — educational psychologist, licensed therapist and board-certified coach — twenty years across the table from people whose patterns were quietly running the room.
