Level I: Foundations, Subtypes and Typing
Learn to explore Enneagram type, interpret reports, and lead meaningful feedback conversations in six live sessions with three instructors. No prior Enneagram training required. New cohorts run throughout the year; the next begins January 21, 2027.
Who it’s for
Practicing coaches, therapists, spiritual directors and facilitators. No Enneagram training needed. Individuals doing deep personal work are welcome.
By the end, you will be able to
Participants who finish are Level I trained. Level I is a training, not a professional certification.
- 1 Read the nine types as patterns of motivation, with the centers, the triads, and each type’s passion and fixation
- 2 Recognize all 27 subtypes in a person’s own words
- 3 Run a typing interview that listens for motivation, not behavior
- 4 Explain how Emma types, and know when to trust your own read over hers
- 5 Interpret an Emma report and run a feedback session that lands
- 6 Turn an insight into a first growth path and one small daily practice
- 7 Use AI with clients ethically, with consent and a human in the loop
The six sessions
Each session runs 12:00 to 4:30 Eastern with one break. It opens with a presence practice and closes with a circle.
Your own Emma report, the nine types at a glance, and the centers of intelligence with the triads of anger, shame and fear.
Core motivation, fear and desire for each type, with podcast panels, then the passions and fixations.
The three instincts, Naranjo’s 27 subtypes and the countertypes, with participants speaking on their own subtype.
Wings and lines, how Emma is trained and how she types, and a typing interview practiced in pairs.
Interpreting an Emma report, structuring the feedback session, debrief practice, and what to do when Emma gets it wrong.
The ethics of typing and of AI in coaching, growth paths, your case, and your next 60 days.
How the two weeks work
Before Session 1
Take your own Emma typing, set up your coach dashboard, and do the short reading.
Week 1, Thu to Sat
You start with your own Emma report, then learn the centers and the nine types, then the instincts and the 27 subtypes, with panels from our podcast.
Between the weeks
You invite three people of your own into Emma and take them through the intake.
Week 2, Thu to Sat
Wings and lines, typing interviews practiced in pairs, reading an Emma report and running the feedback session, and the ethics of typing people with AI. You bring your three people’s reports back to class.
After
You debrief your three people, join a live consult call, and give your case presentation.
